The Integrative Certification in Functional Nutrition is six months of clinical training, pioneered in India, now taught to practitioners in 20+ countries. You finish able to read a functional blood panel and build a root-cause protocol, with a proper introduction to the GI Map, because you were taught by people who do this every single week.
Self-paced pre-work, a live hello, and a graded assessment to get into the Core. It hands you the anatomy, the physiology and the vocabulary, so day one feels like joining in rather than falling behind. Essential if you are coming in without a science background. Doctors and nutrition pros can test straight through. Everybody gets tested on it.

Around 105 live hours on Zoom with real clinicians, in five phases that stack. Real anonymised cases are the spine of it, not decoration at the end of a slide.
macro and micronutrients in clinical depth, plus nutritional biochemistry, metabolic maps and cellular metabolism.
Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis across 55+ biomarkers in optimal ranges, plus gut health and an introduction to the GI Map.
endocrine, cardiovascular, neurological and autoimmune dysfunction, plus the gut-brain axis and stress physiology.
Functional Nutrition Therapy for PCOS, diabetes, thyroid and more, plus detoxification, EMF and environment, and functional movement.
case-formulation review and practice that carries you into the practical month.
A whole month of supervised group case work with mentorship from iThrive clinicians. One case a fortnight, two assigned clinicians, weekly live Q&A where no question is too obvious. You will get things wrong in a room full of people whose entire job is helping you get them right. That is on purpose. That is the best part.
Nobody here is a career lecturer.
ICFN’s faculty is a clinical team managing 80 to 100 complex chronic cases every month, alongside external faculty who are practising clinicians in their own right: doctors, registered dietitians and other credentialed practitioners. Every instructor actively practises. What you learn is current clinical reasoning, passed live from practice to student.
There are no rote-memory exams in the Clinical Core. The Foundation Gateway ends with a short MCQ entrance assessment, and after that you are judged on thinking, not recall: clinical walkthroughs of real cases, live Q&A each phase, casework with individual feedback every time, and a month of group mentorship with peer review and assessed submissions. Nobody will ever ask you to memorise a list.

a functional blood panel of 55+ biomarkers, in optimal ranges, not just lab reference ranges.
the GI Map at an introductory level: what it tests, and where it fits in a root-cause workup.
a root-cause protocol on a food, then supplements, then environment sequence, with a 12-week follow-up.
iThrive’s six-step case method, the same reasoning the clinical team uses.

Still curious? Talk to usYou’ll analyse 55+ biomarkers in optimal ranges, interpret the GI Map, and understand dysfunction across metabolic, endocrine, cardiovascular, autoimmune and neurological systems. Then you’ll design full nutrition therapy protocols, condition by condition, right from PCOS to thyroid to gut repair, the same way a practising functional nutritionist would.
